It’s early on Monday morning, your toast got stuck in the toaster, what’s step 1 to retrieve it? If you answered “reach into the toaster with a metallic utensil”, we have much work to do! If you opted for “unplug toaster”, we’re on track for a successful implementation of the simplest form of lockout/tagout.
This course will cover the elements of a successful Hazardous Energy Control program through the use of Lockout and Tagout techniques. Within the regulatory framework of OSHA, this aspect of hazard control is covered in detail, with many specific requirements designed to reduce workplace exposures to energy release. We will review all regulatory requirements and how best to approach a successful program implementation.
A cornerstone to any successful Safety Management System, we will review training requirements for all employees in their various roles as defined by OSHA. We will also dive into a rational approach to implementing equipment-specific procedures and the various tools available to effectively isolate energy and prevent its accidental release.
Bring your own agenda! Please plan to share any specific points you’d like to discuss either beforehand by email or at the start of the live webinar. Plan accordingly to keep your phone line open throughout the call and share your thoughts and questions.
